On Wednesday, the Center for Developmentally Disabled held it’s first annual “All-Star” Awards Banquet.
The CDD provides housing, care and rehabilitation for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the greater Kansas City area. The event recognized individuals who have accomplished big things this year.
“The city has done a great job, and the surrounding cities have done a great job of making sure that the people we support, and other providers like us out there, that our individuals are part of the community, that they are recognized, and that they are not, you know, something to be feared; that these are folks that are just out there trying to do the best in the world too,” said Sarah Mudd, CDD President and CEO.
Our Rob Hughes emceed Wednesday’s banquet. The CDD serves 186 people in the Kansas City area.
